I just wanted to let you know that I love your company, your service, and your products! I ordered my kayak trailer over the weekend, and it was at my door by Wednesday. (Thanks for your email that gave me the expected arrival day along with the tracking number. That bit of info was very much appreciated!) When I pulled the trailer out of the box, I found it extremely easy to put together. And, I love the fact that I can load my kayak on it by myself. This is the best ever solution for those who kayak solo! I am able to use the trailer to slide the kayak in and out of storage. And hitching it to my bike was so easy: I only noticed a difference when I was biking up a slight incline because the incline made me feel the weight of the kayak. But that’s to be expected. Altogether, I love how this bike trailer frees me from trying to load the kayak on top of my car. And, the fact that I can use it as a cart as well, to get my kayak down to the shore and then back up again is an added bonus! I am in love with your trailer! Thank you so much for a great product!
I did have a bit of trouble getting the tab pin to unlock so I could hitch my kayak to the bike, but a handy-dandy screw driver got me the leverage I needed. I’m told the pin will loosen up a bit with use. Until then, I’ll need to keep a screw driver handy. But that’s a small price to pay for the independent use of the kayak. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions before I ordered. You make such a great product!
Dear Wike Team
I wanted to let you know how much I love the golf trailer that I recently purchased from Wike. It’s so much fun to ride my bike to the golf course with my clubs right behind me!
Attached is a picture taken at Shaganappi Golf Course in Calgary. In the background is the downtown area, where I live. It takes me about 20 minutes to get to Shaganappi and it’s up hill all the way. The good news is- it’s down hill all the wayback and my trailer works great both ways.

My wife and I have raised four kids from infancy to school age, and with each new baby, our bike riding together stopped for a while as we took turns staying home and looking after the latest little one. Not this time. Most mornings these days, our new adopted daughter comes with us in a bike trailer that also doubles as the easiest stroller I’ve ever pushed. This kind of rig right now isn’t new, but there are several reasons why we chose the Wike Softie ($549 at 866-584-9452; (www.wicycle.com) to make our lifestyle more pedal-friendly.
High quality design and workmanship were key. We tried several different bike trailers over the last few years, but we never found one that was built as well and the folded as compactly as the Wike. Another unique feature is the suspension. The entire seating carriage rests on two zigzag supports made of a resilient polymer. Not all of Wike’s trailers have this feature, but if you plan to ride on gravel roads and forest trails, that couple inches of suspension makes the ride much smoother.
There is one thing you need to watch our for with a Wike: A pair of chrome pipes snap together, one above the other on the right-hand side of the unit as it’s unfolding for use. Unless you’re careful, you’ll get your fingers pinched between these pipes and the stationary part of the metal frame. It’s not difficult to avoid, but it did take me two encounters before I learned my lesson.
Wike’s corporate philosophy was another big part of our buying decision. Their products are made in a small North American facility, and are sold directly (and exclusively) to customers via the Internet. There are less expensive bike trailers on the market (and some that cost more), but not other company convinced me I was buying from a business that I’d like to work for myself.
With the Wike we get fresh air, exercise that doubles as family time, and an easy way to make more bike-powered errands. Except for a sore index finger, I’m happy.
Just wanted to let you know that I received the trailer and I love it. Anyone who likes to bike and has a dog should own this trailer.
We got our Adult Special Needs Trailer a few weeks ago, and I’ve been meaning to send you a note saying what an amazing product it is!
Thoughtfully designed, well constructed, it’s a remarkable piece of engineering. It tracks smoothly, folds easily, and hauls our 140 teenager with no problem - plenty of room and bombproof sturdy. The axle/wheel design in particular is very cool…I was afraid that sand and dirt would render this mechnism a weak link, but the push button release works as advertised. I have never seen anything like it, and but it seems to be able to handling its task.
Thanks for designing and building such a great product. It has changed in a positive way what we can do as a family.

I wanted to email you after purchasing my second Special Needs Trailer from Wike today. I bought the first one in 2001. Since then my son and I have logged several thousand miles with me pulling him in the trailer. I purchased yours as he had outgrown his Burley and 2 others and needed a bigger trailer. Yours has been the best trailer I have owned. It pulls great; my son is comfortable in it, and always wants to get his helmet to go on a ride. After ten years of almost weekly use, I finally had to replace my first one. I look forward to getting the new one with all of the design improvements you have made. I also wanted to include a picture from a Bike Ride this past June called the Harpeth River Ride where my son and I participated. For the past few years, they have allowed us to start at the beginning of the ride with Wounded Warriors, Blind Athletes, and others. This year Lance Armstrong actually rode with some of his teammates. Unfortunately, the person taking the attached picture did not capture them with us as they were just a few feet ahead.
Wanted to send a quick note to tell you the special needs Wike we ordered for Damien is working out beautifully. Attached a picture from a trip to Moonstone Beach, California, yesterday! David Sleeth-Keppler (Damien’s father)
I am VERY pleased with this Moonlite Single bike trailer:
- easy to set up, fold and put away;
- glides easy and light (as a stroller and jogger; have yet to try it as a trailer);
- this is the most comfortable stroller I ever pushed- courtesy of the handlebar that DOES adjust to multiple heights (I stand under 5 feet);
- craftsmanship is exceptional; and,
- materials are great without looking ostentatious. It folds easily and small- in my Toyota Camry, I put it in the middle of the trunk and have plenty of room on either side for other things. This means I can load, unload and/or reach for things (including the Moonlite Single) without having to first unload or move other things out of the way.
To Everyone at Wike:
I received by Wike Premium Single trailer on Wednesday and I couldn’t be happier. This trailer is a masterpiece of design and functionality. One can assemble or disassemble the trailer in seconds. And it stores neatly out of the way once folded.
We haven’t taken it for a spin yet but we will later today. My 4 year old is more excited about riding along with me than he is about Christmas. I plan to use the trailer to get him to pre-school everyday since I already ride the bike to the office most days. We have pretty good bike lanes here in Santa Monica and it should be fun.
Thanks again for a wonderfully designed, high-quality trailer. It’s the best value of any trailer out there. I could have easily gone to REI (just 8 blocks away) and made $100 or $200 more for a Burley and not been nearly as pleased and happy as I am with your Premium Single. Mostly, I would have just spent more money and got nothing in return.
Thanks again and safe biking.
I just wanted to tell you how much we have enjoyed the Wike Dog Trailer! Our puppy, Puddles, absolutely loves it! It is so cute seeing her sitting/lying down in the trailer with the wind blowing through her hair:) We have been all over New York with the trailer and now have a following of people asking where we got it and commenting on what a great idea it is!!! My husband and I love a leisurely bike ride, and now that we can bring Puddles along, it is a family outing I have attached a picture of Puddles and myself taken this past Sunday. We can’t wait for this coming weekend to use it again!!!
I am VERY pleased with this Large Special Needs bike trailer: 1) easy to set up, fold and put away; 2) glides easy and light (as a stroller and jogger; have yet to try it as a trailer); 3) this is the most comfortable stroller I ever pushed- courtesy of the handlebar that DOES adjust to multiple heights (I stand under 5 feet); 4) craftsmanship is exceptional; and, 5) materials are great without looking ostentatious.
